My Dearest Beauties,
As the warmer weather approaches we
need to get ready to rock our beautiful pairs of sandals. We all want clear,
silky smooth looking feet. Well, I have what you need to sport the most
gorgeous feet out there.
All you will need is a couple of
lemons, petroleum jelly, some heel filers, a big bowl and your preferred
cuticle removing instruments.
Lemon is known for its many benefits
on the skin. It gently removes dead skin, it lightens age spots and discolorations
on the skin, it smoothes skin and it makes your skin look fresher and younger.
Last but not least, it has a very uplifting natural scent without forgetting
that the acid that it contains will gently exfoliate.
So, what you’ll need to do is
squeeze one lemon and a half. Pour the lemon juice in your preferred soaking
bowl (mind that both of your feet must fit), add enough water for your toes and
heels to be covered. Soak for five to ten minutes. Use the other half of the
lemon to rub on your toes and heels. File the heels of your feet gently, go in
with the rougher side first and then with the finer side next in order to get a
polished feel and look to the heels. Then go ahead and apply petroleum jelly on
your toes concentrating on those cuticles you aim to remove. You can choose to
cut them off with a cuticle cutter or to just push them in with a cuticle
pusher.
And Tadaaaa!! You are good to go
wash the lemon and petroleum jelly off your feet. Do this, once per week for a
month or two and you will definitely see and feel the difference.
You can even go as far as rubbing
the lemon juice on your feet, following in with the petroleum jelly, put some
socks on and sleep on it. Wash off the next morning do some filing and your
feet will just shine.
This is how my grandma takes care
of her feet and it has passed down onto my generation. When life gives you lemons, use them on your skin. So go ahead and rock those sandals girl!
Bisous,
Samar
Good
