Eyebrow Tutorial using an Eyebrow Pencil

My Dearest Beauties,

Eyebrows like I said before frame our face and grooming them can make a whole lot of difference. Recently, I have loved filling in my eyebrows with a pencil because it is very quick and easy. I will walk you through the steps I take and I hope you can get an idea of how to fill in your brows. I believe we all have our own special way of giving shape to our brows so if you are interested try my way in your own way, if that makes any sense!

This is me with neatly combed eyebrows but with no eyebrow makeup at all.

Start by tracing a map of where you want your eyebrow to start. It should usually start at the bridge of your nose and you can use your pencil to draw an imaginary line. After you have an idea of where you want your brow to start draw a line with the pencil. Do the exact same thing for where you want your arch and where you want your brow to end. Draw little dots or lines to guide yourself.

Once you have drawn your map, you are ready to start filling in your eyebrows. Start with very gentle strokes on the bald spots. Think of drawing tiny eyebrow hairs. Do not, by any means, color in your brows with long and heavy lines. They will end up looking too drawn on and unnatural. After filling in your brows go ahead and use the little brush that comes with the pencil. My favorite eyebrow pencil is Lancome Le Crayon Sourcil in shade 020 Chatain. The pencil is super soft and it sets after application, that means that it doesn't transfer if I accidentally rub my brows. The tiny brush that comes with it is very useful as well.

Can you spot the difference between the groomed eyebrow and the untouched one? The one with eyebrow pencil looks more defined and with less bald spots.

Once, I am done filling in my eyebrows, I use some Samoa Cosmetics clear mascara. I have very long eyebrow hairs and if I don't use something to hold them in place they tend to get a little messy. This clear mascara is inexpensive and does the trick beautifully. Trust me you do not need to splurge on an expensive clear mascara, they all work the same.

You are all done!

Tell me what you think of this eyebrow routine in the comments below. What is your favorite eyebrow pencil?

Love,

Samar x
