Mac Cleanse Off Oil = Magic Makeup Remover

My Dearest Beauties,

So, I've been in London for a week, and honestly I have not been wearing any makeup here, I didn't even bring makeup remover (good motivation to stay makeup free for a few days). I came to London to do a fashion image and styling short course at Istituto Marangoni. Part of the course is a bit of makeup sessions to teach us some tips and tricks about makeup and clients. Obviously, after the makeup class I had a lot of makeup on that I needed to take off. I ran to the Mac store that is really close to Marangoni and bought the Mac Cleanse Off Oil.

Let me tell you, it is magic! Pump around three pumps on the back of your hand and massage it onto your dry face. Work it in circular motions, cheeks, nose, eyes, lashes everything. Then, take lukewarm water and rinse it off, it transforms into a light milky texture that will take all of your makeup off as it goes down the sink.

One single step and all of your makeup is off! A lady couldn't ask for more. No more excuses to sleeping in your makeup!

Have you tried it? If you haven't, I totally recommend it!

How to Pull Mac's Saint Germain Lipstick Off

My Dearest Beauties,

The Saint Germain lipstick by Mac is very popular and it is also, in my opinion, not so easy to pull off. I have a little technique to make it look really pretty and still have that very light color and blue under tone.

Use Dali's lip liner in the shade No 55. Line your lips and fill in the corners. Think of making an ombre effect that fades in the center.

Dab the lipstick straight from the bullet. Once you have the intensity that you desire then proceed to rub your lips onto each other, think that you want to make the lipstick stick to your lips and blend with the lipliner.

You'll be left with a lovely and delicate powder pink shade on your lips. I love to wear this combo in winter because of it's cool undertones.

Much love,

Summer Day Time Foundation Routine

My Dearest Beauties,

Foundation routines in the summer get tricky. We have so many layers to think of and so much heat to melt them all off. The trick is minimizing layers and using multi-tasking products. Another very important tip is to never forget to set your foundation with a good oil absorbing powder. These steps will prolong the life of your makeup thus making you look flawless for longer. Stay oil free and with a beautiful complexion. Use a good moisturizer before hand and let it sit for at least 10 minutes, give your skin time to absorb it and interact with it. Like I've mentioned before, moisturizer will not only give life and flexibility to your skin but it will also allow the products to glide on it like a dream.

Products used:

Start by using a tinted sun protection. This is crucial for maintaining youthful skin that is sun spot free and unified by the tint. Dot it all over your face, do not shy away! You need to protect your skin. Then rub it in in circular motions all over your face and down your neck. Rub it in till the fluid unifies and covers all spots on your skin.Use your concealer to hide under eye circles or any blemishes that were not covered by the tinted sun fluid. Right after that comes setting your under eye concealer and face. For my eyes I use the technique used in my previous post of how to stop mascara from smudging. For your face use a powder puff to press the powder onto your face. It is very important that you do not rub in the powder with a brush or a sponge. When you press the powder in, instead of brushing it on, you will not only set the liquid products but you will not move them around therefore uncovering what is supposed to be covered. Apply a bit of bronzer and blusher to your preference and spray it all with Mac Fix+ to make all the powders look less powdery and more like skin. There you go! All done!

This is the finished look with the rest of my makeup on.

Enjoy protected and flawless skin all day all summer long!
